Santiago is a wonderful fusion of all this stunning archipelago has to offer and now you have the perfect opportunity to explore the island with this unique Cape Verde holiday.
After a free day at the beginning of your trip, your guide will take you on a trip to Cape Verde’s earliest settlement Cidade Velha, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. After lunch you visit the capital Praia, a bustling, vibrant city built over several plateaus.
The following day you head off into the interior and drive on winding roads and pass impressive mountain peaks and fertile valleys of manioc and banana. You will be staying on the outskirts of Assomada for 3 nights, where you have the opportunity to mix with the locals and haggle when buying fruit at the covered Assomada market, with all its colours, smells and noise.
End your fantastic Cape Verde holiday with another free day at the end of your trip.
It doesn’t get much better than this!

We have included a fantastic range of activities on Santiago. Most are suitable for all ages, but many can be adapted to your abilities and experience and if you especially love diving then you'll love Santiago with its dark historical past and a coast littered with ship wrecks.
Santiago is one of the southern islands of Cape Verde and has so much to offer from two volcanic mountain ranges which dominate the island to Tarrafal with its pretty sandy cove; great for snorkelling, relaxing and diving.
