You’ll spend time privately with your instructor this week – we’ve included six hours of private tuition which is usually spread over two or three days. Outside of the lessons you can pay locally to hire the equipment if you’re keen to embed what you’ve just learned.
Sal is blessed with perfect beaches and great wind conditions. There’s variety too – Santa Maria beach is perfect for beginners, whereas Ponta Preta, said to be the best windsurf beach in the world, is suited to more advanced windsurfers.
Conditions close to the shore are ideal for beginners – head further out and upwind and the challenges increase when you hit the outer reaches of the bay – and the wind and waves of the big ocean.
