The pleasant apartments of Aparthotel Ca’ Nicola are only a five-minute walk from Sal Rei’s main square, and they are even closer to the north end of beautiful Chaves Beach, one of Cape Verde’s most spectacular stretches of sand. A string of beach bars and restaurants, as well as water sports centres, are also nearby. For those who like the beach on their doorstep, Ca’Nicola is ideally located.
There are 28 apartments in total, centred around two courtyards. Each unit has either one or two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and private bathroom. Much of the furniture is crafted by local artisans, giving an element of style and chic to the apartments, and a terrace allows guests the ideal space to enjoy the sun and breeze. There is also a rooftop communal terrace offering panoramic views to the ocean.
You could include the breakfast service, plus snacks and drinks service which runs throughout the day. Maid and laundry services are also available on request (for an additional charge).
Boavista is an island of sand. The white sand beaches are stunning and the Estoril dunes are so big you feel you can ski down them! Hire a jeep and head inland to explore the island deeper. Although arid and mainly flat, there are a few volcanic formations rising to Monte Estancia at 387m, and date palms pepper the otherwise barren landscape. Most inland villages have been abandoned with the exception of Povoação Velha, the oldest settlement on Boavista, which is still thriving and friendly and worth visiting. There are a number of restaurants and cafés off Sal Rei's main square. The town really livens up in the evenings and the melodic songs of the Morna fill the warm air.
There is a diverse range of activities for you to enjoy. Why not learn to kite surf or hire a car and explore the island on your own.
